Luca Rigoldi confirms himself European Champion of the supergallo! Settoul demolished in Brescia21/5/2019 Luca Rigoldi confirmed himself as champion of European super-bantamweight (55 kg), the 26-year-old demolished the French Anthony Settoul and thus successfully defended the belt he won last November by beating Jeremy Parodi on transalpine ground. Success came with a clear unanimous verdict : 119-109, 120-108, 120-108. Gino Freo's pupil was perfect in the ring of the PalaSanfilippo of Brescia , he dominated the match with great class, he was decidedly more proactive and he weakened the resistance of an opponent unable to worry him. The region Veneto(born in Thiene, now resides in Caldogno), able to retouch his record (20 victories of which 8 per knockout, a single defeat and a draw), he confirmed himself as one of the best boxers in circulation at least on a continental level and has all the credentials to take off other satisfactions in a professional career that is only at the beginning.
The match has always been controlled by the Italian boxer who has weakened the opponent's resistance slowly but surely : he made himself heard in the end of the first round, during the second he placed straight tackles, in the third he put the opponent on the corner 32-year-old (24-7, he had already fought for the continental title but also for the international WBC), in the fourth round he showed off with a left hook and in the seventh hit his rival with a big liver upright. At that point the match was abundantly directed, Rigoldi checked the situation in the last five rounds and triumphed with full merit.
