World Boxing Council silver welterweight champion Danny “Swift” Garcia and Ukrainian fighter Ivan “Terrible” Redkach were face to face for the last time before getting into the ring.
It was the official weigh in of the fight they will hold tomorrow night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, presented by Premier Boxing Champion. García (35-2, 21 KOs) from Philadelphia has not fought since he knocked out Adrián Granados (20-8-2, 14 KOs, 1 NC) in the seventh round on April 20 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. Redkach (23-4-1, 18 KOs, 1 NC), knocked out former welterweight and super lightweight champion Devon Alexander (27-6-1, 14 KOs) in the sixth round last year. Tickets for the event, promoted by TGB Promotions and DSG Promotions, are on sale and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com and barclayscenter.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the American Express box office at Barclays Center. Garcia weighed 147 pounds, while Redkach was 146.8 pounds.
